Good, Bad, and the Ugly in Mobile so far in 2022
Hey Mobile,
In the spirit of BizKidz (send this to your child, they can win up to $500 from us for pitching us an idea), we wanted to introduce you to Da’Khari (6) & Da’Khota (5). They told their mom they wanted to sell lemonade so she helped them set up this stand.
Note: Any time you see young people selling lemonade, stop and buy a glass. 1. Lemonade is delicious.2. These young folks might one day develop your favorite product that doesn't even exist today...
Today's Estimated Read Time: 3 minutes 16 seconds (plus lemonade time).

We’re a little over half way through the year so we thought we’d take a look at the Good, Bad, and the Ugly in Mobile so far in 2022.
Good: We’ve shared a lot of good news with you so far this year. Tons of events, festivals, and things to do! There are also some huge projects to be optimistic about in Mobile. The new Downtown Airport, a new Mobile River Bridge, tons of new restaurants (also great ones over in Fairhope), Africatown, and the Brookley by the Bay project all offer good news for our future.
Bad: A lot uncertainties surround us each week. Things like, what’s going to happen to Hank Aaron Stadium, the Mobile Civic Center, Hollywood Movie Theater, the old Gayfers Building, and Ladd Peebles Stadium.
Ugly: The ugly so far for 2022 has got to be the Bankhead Tunnel! (we hit the tunnel memes pretty hard a few weeks ago). It’s been ugly in more ways than one. We saw an entire roof of a box truck get sawed in half at one point. Someone give the 81 year old lady a break! She has taken a beating on the west side entrance this year!
Let’s see what the rest of the year has in store!

❤ A Do Some Good Highlight
The first Sober Living Home has opened to the public because of the generosity of its sponsors and volunteers.
It is the place where you may get some relaxation and recovery as well as some much-needed hope.
Usually, a lengthy rebuilding period is standard when recovering from a drug use disorder.
The mission of Door To Serenity is to provide a caring family and community to help anyone with a drug use disease develop and recover.
The idea for Door to Serenity started with a deep sense of loss.
After losing her only sibling to an overdose, Lisa Teggart, the organization’s Founder and Executive Director, was inspired to help others.
Podcast interviews are still being released for Do Some Good Mobile --- the digital version is live now.
