Things are getting artsy around town! Have you noticed the utility boxes around downtown getting a fresh new look? A new grant program through the Downtown Mobile Alliance is helping commission artists to paint these formerly ugly utility boxes into lively, bright works of art! Check out the newest box at Conti and Conception Street.

Speaking of art, the History of Museum of Mobile has a new exhibit, 30 Decades in 30 Works. In celebration of Mobileā€™s Tricentennial in 2002, the Mobile Press-Register commissioned to have 30 works of art to represent each of Mobileā€™s first 30 decades. These works are now open to the public for the first time at the History Museum.

If thatā€™s not enough, LODA Artwalk is this weekend! This monthā€™s theme will feature National Makeup Day and celebrate Back to School Day. Come downtown this Friday night to all of your favorite restaurants, shops, and art galleries to enjoy a great evening!
