This week is the calm before the storm that is going to be Mardi Gras. Not much is happening except the eager anticipation of residents and visitors.

RV City is already filling up, and pretty soon, the parties will be in full swing.

Gulf Shores is much busier these days. The effects of the recent storms were pretty hard on our favorite beaches. They’re looking a little scant these days, so officials are working on restorations.

I hope they manage to start working on it before Spring Break.

Gulf Shores attracts more than just young adults looking to hang out. Its ongoing alcohol ban also attracts families with kids because it’s just a safer atmosphere for all.
