🪅Do Some Good
Have you heard of Light of the Village and all the GOOD they are doing? Light of the Village is a front-line, hands-on Christian ministry designed to share Christ's message of faith, hope, and love to the inner city. LOV serves six days a week inside this community and strives to provide a consistent presence where the love of Christ can be discovered.
How can you help this ministry thrive? Buy a candle! LOV hires, trains and works with a team of 10-15 teenagers who help produce and package our "Lights of LOV" Candles. This small business allows teenagers to be part of an entrepreneurial effort that teaches firsthand the basics of business. The teenagers are paid a stipend and included in mission trips and special outreach events with LOV. Plus, a candle always makes the perfect gift!

“Meet Thor!! This handsome boy has been running for weeks in a neighborhood as a stray. A kind lady has been feeding him and she reached out to us for help. Thankfully, they were able to gain this boy’s trust quickly and he’s now with our foster and settled right in. She said he’s a wonderful boy and full of personality and love. Thor is a Great Pyrenees mix around 1-year-old and 60ish lbs. He has tested well with other dogs and loaded right up into the car. He has been cleaned up and eye infection treated and he’s blossoming into such a handsome boy. This boy is smart and loyal. Thor will complete his vetting 11/8/23 and will then be adoption-ready! We are taking applications now!
Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis, and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained.
All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes a vet check, age-appropriate shots (at least 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if at least 16 weeks), and spay/neuter! If you would like to meet Thor, please complete the application here.”
