The biggest news of the week was the grand opening of Mobile’s newest food hall, The Insider! A food hall is a new concept to this area but not new in other cities around the country. If you remember eating Sbarro at the old food court Bel Air Mall, you will be pleased to find that the indoor dining concept has come a long way!

The Insider opened on June 1st with five restaurants inside, PS Taco Co, HammeredCow, Poke Bowl Sushi Burrito & Boba, Arabelle, and Chicken District. Each restaurant has something for everyone's taste buds! A sixth spot is open for draft beer and wine. Adjoining The Insider is the newly opened Outsider which is an upscale sports bar with food provided by the restaurants next door. An attached arcade and outdoor patio also fill the space.

If you haven't checked out restaurants in downtown lately, you're really missing out.

Go check out The Insider and The Outsider at 518 Dauphin Street!

🗺 Our New Local Map

This map company hit us up and encouraged us to create a community map.The more we dig in, the cooler we think the idea is.Here's a link -- we're just getting started!

👍Local Business Friends of The Rundown

Mike Ward Liberty Safes has been a Mobile Alabama staple and play a large role in protecting our community.

They are the largest safe dealer on the Gulf Coast and provide white-glove service. One thing we like is that they deliver your safe (can also move them for you) in a discreet manner. Even the delivery vehicle is low-key and doesn't scream "Hey, I'm delivering a safe!!"

You can shop online, ping them on Facebook, or stop by their showroom (just look for the giant yellow safe in the air at Moffet and I-65).
