It’s officially summer! (feel that heat?) Memorial Day is behind us and school is out. The weather is warm (hot?) and the beaches along the Gulf of Mexico are packed. Hopefully, you’ve made a summer bucket list to get out and about this season. If not, we’re here to help.
No summer is complete without some good, homemade ice cream. Cammie’s Old Dutch is bucket list item number one for all of your favorite ice cream flavors. Don’t forget the banana splits or the brownie delight!
Maybe you want to get outdoors this summer. Hey outside and launch a kayak at Arlington Park, a bike ride at the campus of South Alabama, feed the squirrels at Bienville Square (this still illegal? Not sure. Arrest me!), or picnic at Cooper Riverside Park.
For those rainy days, find a new book at the Haunted Bookshop. Find some new local goods at Market in the Park each Saturday morning at Cathedral Square or maybe cool off at the Splash Pad at Medal of Honor Park. No matter what is on your summer bucket list, there’s no shortage of fun things to do in Mobile this summer!

📰 News: $$$, Fastest Growing Cities, & Gayfers
We got word that the City of Mobile is running at a surplus.Bravo administration, bravo."Mayor Sandy Stimpson is seeking to transfer $16.3 million from the City of Mobile’s general fund budget surplus to fund multiple local infrastructure, recreation and public safety projects."You can read more about it here.
Crazy idea here (hear us out). There's been some disagreement around the old Gayfer's building and how to move forward with that project. We could...Use that $16.3M to....BRING BACK GAYFERS!
Do you know how many locals would probably sign this petition? Not enough paper in the world.Ok, probably not gonna happen.I digress...
But, AL.com did pop in their article about city growth.People love to see where their city stands.
Foley is the fastest growing. Not hard when you're starting with like 10 people (ok, like 22,000).
Auburn is adding the most numbers per day (War Eagle).
If you'd like to see the entire population list, you can check it out here.
Hall of Shame Parking
We don't mind adding a little fuel to the fire if it means following some simple parking courtesy. We feel that these rules are universal. But, if you could, please ask your friends to not do this.Word on the street is they received a ticket shortly after.Lesson learned...
We appreciate all of our Supporters
We love the city and we love you!
Please tell your friends to not litter...
Forward this email to a friend that needs it.
