If you missed it, this past weekend was the 89th Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo.  There were sharks caught, as you can see.  Our team worked hard to produce this Quick RECAP VIDEO.  Enjoy.

Summer fun continues all summer long! Sometimes though, you just need to find some indoor activities. The Classic Movie Series at the Saenger Theater is just the “ticket”! All summer, you can watch classics on the big screen inside the historic Saenger.

Coming up are showings of The Maltese Falcon, 42nd Street, Pretty in Pink (Duckie, stop!”), When Harry Met Sally, The Goonies (“Jerk Alert!”), and more! All classics that are great for adults and children.

It’s also hard to find an outing so affordable! The price is only $6 for adults and $3 for kids and seniors. They are also asking for a donation of non-perishable household items like soap, detergents, cleaners, and deodorant to benefit the Dumas Wesley Center.

Founded in 1987, NAMI Mobile is a branch of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

NAMI aims to help people and families impacted by mental illness through advocacy, educating, assistance, and raising awareness.

There is hope and help for individuals with a severe mental illness or a beloved one who does, and NAMI members are here to support those in need.

NAMI aids people with mental illnesses and their families by offering education and support programs.

As a volunteer-run organization, NAMI Mobile provides all its services free of charge.

This year, NAMIWalks Mobile is supporting the local NAMI Care Fund, which offers critical dental and medical assistance to those living with a severe mental illness in the area.

NAMI gave out nearly $40,000 in financial assistance last year.
