A Message From The Pour Over
Have these Christian millennials fixed the news?
It’s called The Pour Over, and it has two goals:
1. Keep its readers informed about world events
2. Keep its readers focused on Christ
That means providing politically neutral coverage of events and pairing it with brief Biblical reminders.
The question is… are they hitting the mark? See what you think. Subscribe in just one click. No seriously, one click.
Let’s start this week off right with a remarkable story of hope from Spanish Fort. There’s a 3rd grader who went against all odds and managed to do something that any other 3rd grader probably takes for granted: walking into school...
If there are kids like Gunnar Chester, who has undergone 20 operations to combat a hereditary disorder just to walk, what’s our excuse for sitting around all day?
Continuing on the topic of outstanding kids, there’s a junior right from Baker High School who is a basketball top scorer in the nation.
The best universities around have their sights on this young man named Labaron Philon.
Best of all, even after being featured on big sports networks, Philon manages to stay humble. That makes him all the more impressive.
And it’s good news for the healthcare sector in Mobile. There is to be a multispecialty ambulatory surgery center at the West Mobile Campus of USA Health.
We can always use the security of top-notch medical facilities.
Even now, we can’t seem to shake off the flu that’s been going around since before Thanksgiving.
While this is no reason to panic, it’s still better to take precautions and maybe get vaccinated in case you intend to travel for the holidays.
And lastly, phase 2 of The Beach Walking District is now in the works. The beautification of Gulf Shores is coming along just nicely.
Since it's the holidays, I wanted to be sure you knew about this simple tool called Rakuten.
Using Rakuten is a no-brainer during the holiday season, which is why we use it. You simply sign up and shop ‘through’ eBates.
[we've made $1,709 since we began using it].
You get $30 just for signing up and making your first purchase.
