>> Hospital Takeover: One major piece is the University of South Alabama’s ambitious expansion plans [$85 million singles] in healthcare. Buyout. Boom!
>> Giant Road Closure: Another piece is the massive reconstruction of McGregor Avenue. While this will probably be disruptive to our daily schedules, it will yield a more convenient roadway for all motorists in the near future.
And while we humans are making moves, so are the critters.
>> Hammerhead Shark! We try to maintain a peaceful coexistence with these neighbors, but they do find their way to our spaces every once in a while. It’s best to keep a respectful distance.
And with all this hustle and bustle around us, it’s all the more reason to cozy up at home and shed our daily stresses.
>> Going Going Gone! We can all stock up on our self-care and home products with Bed Bath & Beyond’s “everything must go” sale starting this Wednesday [Chapter 11 bankruptcy happening as we speak].

Our goal is to eat at 26 new restaurants during the year of 2023.
But there's a catch --- it has to be restaurants we've never visited, and we're going from letters A-Z (hopefully in order).

🪅Do Some Good
This weekend Mobile had perfect weather to celebrate Earth Day. Love Your Community (formerly Keep Mobile Beautiful) hosted a fun-filled day at the Charles Wood Japanese Garden near Municipal Park. Attendees enjoyed food trucks, vendors, music, games, and a plant sale. Did you know that you could get funding for your own community beautification project just by picking up trash around town?
When was the last time you celebrated our local waterways? Dog River Clearwater Revival’s 8th Annual Mudbottom Revival event this past Sunday took place on Dog River under blue skies and shady oaks. The event brought awareness to the efforts DRCR has made to conserve and protect our local waterways.
