Exploring the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta
Watch out for the gators...
Hey Mobile,
Read some pretty impressive stats about our port this week.Apparently, the port just had its best month ever. Here's what the Alabama Port Authority just said this afternoon..."Our port continues to set records. š„In a year-over-year comparison, Julyās figures reflect an incredible growth rate of 184.7% for intermodal cargo and 35.8% for dry and refrigerated cargo. While supply chain disruptions continue nationwide, Mobile has been able to manage without disruption or major delays with no congestion and no vessels waiting at anchor."
You can read the full update here.
Ok, it's time to break it down Mobile style.Let's boogie.

Donāt let summer pass by without one last trip on the water! The Mobile-Tensaw Delta is the second largest river delta system in the country, one of the most biologically diverse places in the U.S., and is known as āAmericaās Amazonā.
Thereās a few great ways to get outside and enjoy this unique part of the world. The Five Rivers Delta Resource Center along the Causeway has a Delta Discovery tour where youāll catch a glimpse of wildlife in the Delta, and a Sunset Cruise that features some of the best sunsets in America.
The Perdido Queen Dinner Cruise will satisfy your appetite with good food, live music, and a great time on board the Perdido Queen paddle boat. WildNative tours feature harbor tours that get you up close to Mobileās working harbor. Airboat Express is an airboat ride through the Delta which guarantees alligator sightings!
(We went on a delta tour a few years ago looking for alligators--- find out if we made it out alive!)
Get out and enjoy one of the most unique outdoor havens in the United States right here in our backyard!

ā¤ A Do Some Good Highlight
Ronald McDonald House Charities Mobile offers a home away from home for families whose children are at hospitals for life-threatening illnesses and injuries treatment.
Since its establishment in 2000, RMHC Mobile has served almost 10,500 families in need of a temporary retreat.
Supporting families with terminally ill or injured children who get treatment at nearby hospitals is the mission of the RMHC Mobile.
There is a fully equipped kitchen, laundry services, and an exercise area at RMHC Mobile for families to use during their stay.
They must provide these families with āa home away from homeā while their children receive treatment at RMHC Mobile, which is why their slogan is āa home away from home.ā
You can sponsor a stay in their Ronald McDonald House through their Share a Night or Adopt a Room program.
Podcast interviews are still being released for Do Some Good Mobile --- the digital version is live now.
