🌍Moving? We Can Help!
It’s beginning to look a lot like you need to get a Christmas tree. Why not make it extra special this year by participating in Mobile’s Pathway Church’s ‘Buy a Tree, Change a Life’ Program?
Paying a bit more for a tree isn’t so bad if you know that the proceeds will go toward supporting local women and children.
Initiatives like these keep us connected to our community, all while fostering a strong holiday spirit for your own household.
Speaking of getting in the spirit, there was a lot of love being passed around in the form of food at the Authentic Life Church’s first-ever community Thanksgiving supper celebration.
Inflation is pretty bad right now, so many families couldn’t say no to a heaping plate of Thanksgiving food.
The volunteers would argue that they got the most out of this event. After all, there’s nothing more satisfying than the gift of giving.
As for those of us who are lucky enough to enjoy a bountiful Thanksgiving at home, please note that this holiday will affect garbage pickup schedules.
On another note, visitors from all across the state flocked to the Africatown Historical Lantern Walk to honor the community’s past and gain insight into its present. A little rain won’t stop those who are determined to uphold traditions.
And lastly, kids had a blast at the recent STEM fest for k-12 students. Those in the education sector stress that children should be engaged in such activities to spark their interest in modern careers.
Jobs are getting more and more sophisticated, and parents should arm their kids with knowledge and passion for useful and relevant subjects.
Using Rakuten is a no-brainer during the holiday season, which is why we use it. You simply sign up and shop ‘through’ eBates.
Instead of going straight to the site to purchase, you start your shopping session by clicking a button. To date, My family has made more than $1,600 just for our normal purchases.
You get $40 just for signing up and making your first purchase.

❤ Do Some Good, Mobile
A letter from our owner...
Did you know there were over 1,000 nonprofits in Mobile?! Do you know all the good they are doing for our community daily??For example...
meals for those in need
education resources
clothing and interview prepping for those in need of jobs
teaching foundational life skills
taking care of children who are sick
paying medical bills for those who can not afford healthcare
advocating for sexually and physically abused children
The list goes on...Brooks and I may not have a ton of money to donate, and we may not have a ton if extra time. But what we do have is this platform!
The Mobile Rundown’s goal with our Do Some Good Mobile publication is to educate the public on all the organizations in our area that are doing some good and connect YOU with ways to get involved!!
We are going into our 5th year of Do Some Good, and I want to make this our best year yet!! Some organizations can afford to be a part of this magazine, and some can not. That is where I need YOUR HELP! We are looking for individuals and businesses to come alongside us this year to allow us to include AS MANY ORGANIZATIONS AS POSSIBLE!!
If you feel led to help organizations in our community, just reply to this email or reach out.
Yall, more good is being done in Mobile than you will ever hear about on the news— I promise!
Help me keep it going!!
And if you are a nonprofit that wants to be included, please let me know!
